THE PENSİON FUND FOR CİVİL SERVANTS

History:

     Social Security enforcement was begun in 1866 in the literal sense with “ Fund of Military Personel “. Then “Fund of Public Administration” was established in 1880. Two Funds combined in the name of “Fund of Military and Civilian Authorities” in 1909. It was formed pension funds peciluar to institution after establishing of Republic of Turkey. It was formed Ereğli Coal Basin Worker Association of Fund of Accumulation and Solidarity in 1921, FUnd of Public Railway Administration and Ports worker in 1934, Fund of Village Teachers and Village Workers in 1940 and 11 look alike funds.



Establishing :

      It was important disadvantaged in the lenght of time to be amenable to different fund law for civil servant working different institutions.So as to abrogate disadvantages retired and pension funds removed in the length of time , The Pension Fund For Civil Servants of The Republic of Turkey was established with law of 5434 nr which was accepted in TBMM in June 8th,1949 and come into force January, 01 th 1949.


    When worker working public sector and military personnel retired and disabled, theirselves; when they died their widower and orphan are aimed providing their social security.

     Firstly, Fund included only officer and military personnel, then mayors, councillor councilors, parlementers, military school students and contractual worker working some institıtituon including.



Tasks :

      Pension Fund has been fulfilling its below tasks since 1950 with making change.

1. It makes transactions concerning pension, disability, duty disability, puts,changes, arises and cuts widower and orphan on salary, and pension premiums, death benefit, marriage benefits, single payment, gives back deduction and increases social relief.

2. It puts Military service, soldier duty disability, war disability, war veteran of Kıbrıs and Kore on salary.

3. It puts needy and feeble people 65 years old, disabled and handicapped people who do not becam 65 years old Turkish citizens on salary according to Law no 2022.

4. It makes medical benefits according to Law no 5434 temporary article 139.

5. It draws necessary income to perform aims and operates according to law writing.

6. It makes paying transactions of monopoly shares to war disabled, martyr, widower nad orphans.

7. It establishes and operates Rest house and dispensatory.

8. It operates tax refund transactions of widower and orphans taking salary from fund according to Law no 2978 about Law of Tax Refund.

9. It fulfilles other tasks getting from laws.
